Autumn at Maguires Country Parks
23 Sep 2022
Summer is starting to grind to a halt now the kids are back at school and the sun is disappearing behind the clouds. Autumn is next on the horizon and we’re here to tell you how you can spend the season enjoying time at Maguires Country Parks.
Just because summer has to come to an end, that doesn’t mean the fun should stop! Whether you have a touring spot booked at one of our five-star caravan parks, a holiday home or residential living arrangement; there are so many things you can be getting up to.
From warm and welcoming pubs to winding woodland walks, there is plenty in and around our luxurious country parks to keep you occupied and loving the autumn season.
No matter which of our country parks you have chosen to retreat, there is always a slice of the countryside to enjoy close by. A myriad of nature, wildlife and beautiful scenery is never far away from our parks in Northumberland, County Durham and North Yorkshire.
Embark on some of the best hiking trails the North East and North Yorkshire have to offer and pack a delicious picnic to have along the way. Experience crisp autumn air along stunning coastlines, up mountains and or even just taking your furry friend for a local stroll.
At Maguires Country Parks, we have a choice of two heartwarming family pubs to enjoy. Both boasting a cosy atmosphere, menu of comforting pub favourites and a selection of beer, ale, cider, wine, spirits, soft drinks, coffee and tea; there’s no better place to be.
Choose from the welcoming Prince William Bar & Grill at Forget Me Not Country Park in Longhorsley, or take a seat at Ord House Bar & Grill in Berwick-upon-Tweed. At The Kaims Country Park we also have an on-site clubhouse serving food and drink every weekend.
Rust-coloured leaves are falling from the trees and the nights are soon to get much darker, which sets the perfect scene for a snuggly movie night.
Grab all the essential movie snacks like popcorn, chocolate, marshmallows, pick ‘n’ mix and tasty s’mores and enjoy a movie marathon from the comfort of your five-star holiday or residential home.
Some activities are best enjoyed when the sun is blazing and days are long but that’s not to say there isn’t still plenty to do even when it’s raining.
