Take a trip to the Farne Islands for seal and puffin spotting, while Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve is rated one of the best sites for waders and wildfowl in Europe.

Coquet Island

Coquet Island is swarmed with birdlife for almost half of the year, with around 35,000 seabirds cramming onto the tiny island to breed. You’ll see the famous puffins as well as other bird species such as eider ducks, oystercatchers, and roseate terns.
