Holy Island
A beautiful tidal island that can only be accessed at low tide, Holy Island is home to the 16th-century Lindisfarne Castle sitting high up on volcanic rock.
Along with the castle, the other main attractions of the island are the small harbour, village, priory ruins and Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve.
There is a 5.5-mile coastal walk to be enjoyed around the island and if you get lucky, you might even see some of the seals that reside there!
