This month we have a Glamping Experience up for grabs! The winner will enjoy a weekend stay in one of our Wishbone Lodges. Ideal for a family holiday or a couples retreat, they sleep up to four people and are set in their own personal space so you have plenty of room to stretch out. They Wishbone Lodges have some great little extras like double glazing, lights and plugs, your very own veranda and are heated by a low wattage electric heater. If you’re visiting any of our Country Parks, the local areas close by are well worth venturing out to during your stay.Northumberland is home to Ord House and is a county of contrasts: historic castles, magnificent beaches, winding fishing rivers, national parks, vast moors and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Local attractions include Alnwick Castle – which has been used as a location for many films including Harry Potter, Hadrians Wall, Kielder – voted the ‘number one most tranquil place in the UK’ and the historic town of Morpeth.
England’s largest county, North Yorkshire is home to Swainby Country Park and is famed for it’s breath taking panoramic views. Comprised of the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors, Vale Of York and the coastal region, the area is a nature lovers paradise and is rich in history. Local attractions include Ripon Cathedral, Whitby Abbey, York Minister and Mother Shiptons Cave.
Newbus Grange Country Park is set in Country Durham and will suit you whether you’re looking for a city break packed with sightseeing and shopping; a chance to get hands-on with history and heritage; a rural escape for some much needed rest and relaxation, or time to get outdoors and active.
