Spittal Beach is a great sandy beach, where you can often see seals bobbing about in the sea, or sometimes even dolphins if you’re lucky. A great day out for the family, you can even bring fluffy family members for a paddle because it is dog-friendly.

You could even take a boat trip from the mouth of the River Tweed and go dolphin watching, or sail up the river and out into the open countryside.
