May Bank Holidays at Maguires Country Parks

With not one, but two Bank Holidays this month, May is the perfect month to get away from it all, so why not book to spend some time at Maguires Country Parks? Whether you prefer touring, camping, glamping or you’re interested in having your very own Holiday Home as a country retreat, we’ve got it covered!

We have some fantastic news to share with all of you. Our newest park Forget Me Not in Longhorsley, has been awarded a 5 star food & hygiene award! This is testament to all of the hard work from chef Scott and the team and we couldn’t be more proud of them!

Elsewhere in the park, we have been re-laying turf and softening the landscape as well as continuing work on new development The Cedars, Phase 2. The park is really starting to take shape as a Maguires Country Park and the great reviews we have had from Easter Weekend make all of the hard work worthwhile. The weekend was a huge success with great entertainment from The Hypnotist and female vocalist Leigh Tame as well as a record amount of covers in The Croft Bar, thanks to Scott’s superb cooking!

We are currently looking for new staff to expand the Forget Me Not team. We have vacancies for cleaners, bar staff and kitchen staff, so if you think you have what it takes and you would like to be a part of our vibrant and friendly park team, contact Forget Me Not today: Please note that transport is essential.

Swainby Country Park has been a hive of activity lately. Work on the roads around the park has been finished and we have been re-landscaping too. The park is looking lovely!

Over at Newbus Grange in Neasham, Darlington, work is nearing completion on the new outdoor pool! We are busy paving, tiling, painting and decking, ready for the grand opening on the late May bank holiday! We will be having a special Hog Roast on the day to celebrate, so make sure you make it down!

At Maguires Country Parks we are committed to conservation and this year, Newbus Grange has been entered into the David Bellamy Conservation Award. If you spot any wildlife around the park, please let us know – and help us to achieve Gold Medal status, like Ord House!

Speaking of Ord House, our new soft play area has gone down a storm! We are very pleased with it and plans are underway for a similar area at Forget Me Not Country Park further down the line!

Enjoy the Bank Holidays!

The Maguire Family.
