Create your own luxury hot chocolate
We think you should be spending every December evening cuddling up with a velvety mug of hot chocolate in your hands – after all, you deserve it! We recommend topping your hot chocolate off with freshly whipped cream and a generous sprinkling of chopped dark chocolate. We’ve even included our favourite homemade hot chocolate recipe below for you to give a go.
Ingredients:
- 500ml milk
- 40g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 35g granulated sugar
- 45g bittersweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar
- A handful of marshmallows
- A teaspoon of pure vanilla extract (Shhh, our secret ingredient ?)
Marathon movie night
Now you have your hot chocolate it’s time to chill out, put your feet up and watch a film. It may be November but we’re already thinking about the best Christmas films to snuggle up to on a cold winter’s evening. One of our personal favourites is The Polar Express, perfect for the festive season and even better for when you have the little ones coming round to enjoy.
If it’s just you and a loved one at your Maguires park, it’s definitely the perfect time to watch Love Actually. A funny yet romantic Christmas film, which will undoubtedly get you ready for the season ahead. Don’t you agree?
Family games night
A great way to involve all the family in the perfect night in, is by organising a fun games night. Turn your back on technology for an evening and enjoy some good old fashioned family fun! Whether it’s Monopoly, Scrabble, UNO or a game of cards – we’re certain things are bound to get competitive.
