Have you ever written down a list of things you have wanted to try, hobbies you wanted to learn, but just never seem to find the time or motivation? Let’s change that and make 2021 the year of fun and exploration!

Perfect your culinary skills

Why not step out of your comfort zone and try cooking a cuisine you have never tried? Try and explore new flavours, and experiment with ingredients you may have never even heard of before! 2021 has been dubbed the year of British seafood by Waitrose, so why not have a go at cooking mussels or oysters?

We challenge you to cook up a storm in the kitchen, whether it’s a meal for one or the entire household. Grab a cookbook or look online for some meal inspiration. Waitrose and BBC Good Food have some mouth-watering meals that you can try in 2021. We know you will be reaching for the pots and pans in no time. 

Try some arts and crafts 

Did you know that getting your creative juices flowing alleviates anxiety and stress? This hobby is a win win; it can significantly improve your mental well-being and there are also a million different things to try!
