How To Stay Cosy In Your Country Home

27 Jan 2021

With snowy and icy days the norm this month, we bet some of you are counting down the days until we can all sit in the sunshine on our deckings again, until then let’s talk about your Country Home!

Now is the time to make the most of your evenings snuggled up on the sofa in front of the TV or with a good book! Have a read of some of our recommendations to keeping cosy in your country home.

Keeping the heat in

During the winter months it is important to keep your living space as cosy as can be. As all our country homes come with thermaglass double-glazing, your living room will be naturally toasty, which is an added bonus!

We would also recommend always closing the voile curtains when the night draws in or when it’s extra cold out, helping prevent any heat loss and making those nights in front of the TV absolutely perfect.

Let there be light!

Banish the chilly weather outside by creating a warm glow in your country home.

The luxurious wood burner style feature fire in our country homes, found in the ABI Westwood for example, are perfect for keeping you toasty as well as creating a warm ambience in your lounge.

The fires in our country homes are great for creating an authentic and traditional flame-effect, without the need for any maintenance!

Did someone say… food and drink?

This may be an obvious one but there’s nothing a hot cup of tea can’t solve! The kitchens in our country homes come fully equipped with your comfort in mind, all year round.

The 40mm worktops, integrated oven and burner hobs in the ABI Beaumont ensure you have everything to hand for when you’re busy in the kitchen. Whether a hot bowl of tomato soup or a hearty cottage pie is more to your taste, have dinner at the free-standing dining table (or cuddled on the sofa when Corrie is on). Who even knew there was a snow storm outside?!
