Five Star Awards, A Home For Sale at Low Carrs and New Faces at The Kaims

20 Mar 2020

It has been a busy year so far at Maguires Country Parks. First of all, we are thrilled to announce that The Kaims Country Park in Bamburgh has been awarded 5 Stars by Visit England.

The extensive development work on the park has been completed and it is almost unrecognizable from the park we took over back in 2017. The Kaims Country Park now has a 12-month license for holidays and recreational use, to bring it in line with our other parks. We would like to give a warm welcome to Colin and Janice who will be running the clubhouse at The Kaims. There are lots of events and charity days planned for the coming months so keep a lookout on our Facebook page for those!

Ord House Country Park in Berwick has once again retained its Five Star status from Visit England. This summer we have been busy working on the new clubhouse and restaurant, Ord House Lounge Bar and Grill. Both the exterior and interior of the building have been transformed and we can’t wait for you to see the finished results! In other Ord House news, we’d like to say a huge ‘congratulations’ to our receptionist Michelle who has had a new baby girl called Ivy.

Forget Me Not Country Park in Longhorsley has also retained its Five Star status from Visit England. The park is currently busy planning for the annual Hallowe’en Party at Prince William Bar & Grill. There will be fancy dress for adults and children and live entertainment from the excellent Anthony Williamson. Join in the fun on Saturday 3rd November from 7pm!

At our other parks, the award-winning streak continues! Over in North Yorkshire, Swainby Country Park has retained its Five Star status, as has Newbus Grange Country Park in Darlington.

Just down the road from Newbus Grange, in Hurworth Parish, you will find our residential park Hurworth Springs Country Park, the latest addition to the Maguires Country Parks group. This summer we welcomed the first of our homeowners to the new park. You can watch a video of homeowners Sue and Mark Wilson explaining why they chose Hurworth Springs and how much they love their new relaxed way of life, here.

Speaking of residential living, we have a rare home for sale at Low Carrs Residential Park. The pretty park is for over 55’s and is close to Durham City and popular village Framwellgate Moor. The one-bedroom park home is available to view on Rightmove now!

Finally, our new website has now launched! We hope you like it. We’d love to know your thoughts.

The Maguire Family.
