Our brand new park in Topcliffe is the newest owners-only addition to Maguires Country Parks!
When it comes to location, it doesn’t get any more picturesque than Swaleside. Situated in the beautifully quiet village of Topcliffe and resting on the banks of the famous River Swale, our newest park allows you to relax and unwind in total tranquility.
Located only two minutes from the village of Topcliffe, you can easily find a delicious pub lunch from the two local pubs, The Angel and The Swan. If instead you’re looking for fresh local produce, then we cannot recommend The Milk Churn Farm Shop enough. Swaleside also offers a village shop too!
Things to do on-site
Each Maguires Country Park is different and our newest park is no exception. It has some very unique features which makes it such an exciting park!
Firstly, it is situated on the River Swale, something totally unique to this park. This means we are able to offer unlimited access to coarse fishing on our private river frontage. Perfect for those who are keen anglers or want to give a new hobby a try.
River frontage isn’t the only amazing feature, the park also includes 2.5 acres of woodland on site which is great for a quick morning walk or stroll.
Location, location, location
Those who are looking to enjoy longer walks are in luck, as our newest park is located in the Hambleton Hills. To the east of the park lies the beautiful North York Moors, which is rich with heritage and wildlife, and to the west is the Yorkshire Dales, ideal for anyone who loves to hike.
The combination of having these breathtaking national parks right on your doorstep means it is a walker’s paradise – so make sure you pack some sturdy walking boots for your stay!
One route that you don’t want to miss takes you from the market town of Helmsley to Rievaulx Abbey – featuring sweeping views of the town and castle as well as taking you through the beautiful Bluebell Woods.
