Autumn Days at Maguires Country Parks

20 Mar 2020

Is there anything better than wrapping up in a big warm coat and crunching through the Autumn leaves? Or, getting cosy in your caravan with a mug of hot chocolate once the dark nights start drawing in? Yes, we love the Autumn at Maguires Country Parks – and as we are open for holiday visitors 52 Weeks of the Year, you can enjoy it with us too!

As we say goodbye to the Summer, we have lots of news to report. The development of the new pub at Forget Me Not in Morpeth has been keeping the team there very busy. If you follow Maguires Country Parks on Facebook you will have seen the images of the work in progress. The old pub has now been completely demolished to make way for the bigger and better pub. Once it is complete you can expect regular entertainment, big screen sports matches, an adults only area and a roaring open fire. It’s going to look spectacular!

Down in Darlington, Newbus Grange Country Park has won an award! Professor David Bellamy has awarded the park his prestigious ‘Award for Conservation’ in recognition of our continued commitment to conservation and the environment! Over the last three years the park has taken advantage of a re-fencing programme to create a series of islands around the parks perimeter, dedicated to giving native wild meadow plants, birds and butterflies the chance to flourish.

Across in Berwick, Ord House Country Park has also won some more awards to add to the collection! The park won Gold in the Berwick In Bloom competition as well as a Silver Guild award for the on-site pub Maguires Bar & Grill. Recently a visitor said our Sunday Lunch was “the best Sunday Lunch in all of Berwick” – high praise indeed!

Our hire caravans are still proving very popular with stunning holiday homes available for short breaks at Newbus Grange and Ord House. Take a look at our Caravan Breaks page for tariffs and further information.

Finally, we absolutely love the fantastic photographs that you are all sharing of the parks on our Facebook page – please keep them coming! Thank you to Robert Miller for the picture that appears on this blog!

The Maguire Family.
